Cardi B Faces Lawsuit Over Microphone Toss During Las Vegas Performance

American rap superstar Cardi B is facing legal trouble after a concertgoer filed a lawsuit accusing her of battery and negligence following a microphone-throwing incident during a performance in Las Vegas.

The incident, which occurred during a heated moment on stage, was captured on video and widely circulated online. In the footage, Cardi B is seen hurling her microphone into the crowd after an audience member allegedly splashed her with a drink.

While many fans initially defended the rapper’s reaction, the woman on the receiving end of the mic throw has now taken legal action, claiming she sustained injuries and trauma as a result of the incident.

According to court documents filed in Nevada, the plaintiff is seeking damages for “bodily harm, emotional distress, and public embarrassment.” She also alleges that Cardi B acted recklessly and failed to consider the potential harm to bystanders.

Cardi B and her legal team have yet to issue a formal response to the lawsuit, but sources close to the rapper insist that her actions were a “reflexive response” to what could have been perceived as a threat.

The Las Vegas Police Department had previously reviewed the incident but declined to file criminal charges, stating there was “insufficient evidence of intent to harm.”

As the case unfolds, legal analysts say the outcome may hinge on whether the court views the rapper’s actions as self-defense or excessive retaliation.

The lawsuit marks the latest in a string of public controversies involving artists and audience interactions raising broader questions about performer safety, fan conduct, and the legal risks of live performances.
