BBNaija Star Ike Onyema Urges One-Month Grace Period Before First Eviction

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Ike Onyema, has called on the organizers of the reality TV show to delay evictions in the ongoing Season 10, suggesting that all housemates should be allowed to stay for at least one month before anyone is voted out.

Ike made the appeal via his social media platform on Tuesday, stressing that early evictions often deprive viewers of fully connecting with contestants and rob some housemates of a fair chance to showcase their personalities.

“I think Biggie should consider letting the housemates stay at least a full month before starting evictions,” Ike wrote. “People need time to warm up to the audience. Some of the best housemates didn’t get enough time in the early weeks.”

His comment sparked a conversation among fans of the show, many of whom agreed that extending the eviction timeline would allow for deeper engagement and more strategic gameplay.

Ike, who participated in the “Pepper Dem” edition of BBNaija, is no stranger to the pressure and dynamics of the show. He noted that early evictions often favor extroverted personalities while quieter housemates, who may grow into the game, are prematurely removed.

BBNaija Season 10 has already stirred buzz with its new twists, alliances, and romantic tensions. Ike’s suggestion adds to ongoing debates about how the format could be made more equitable and entertaining.

As of now, there has been no official response from the show’s organizers regarding the appeal.
