Domestic Worker Caught Hiding Stolen Dollars in Sanitary Pad Wrapper and Cream Jar

A domestic worker is facing theft charges after being caught allegedly stealing foreign currency from her employer and concealing the stolen cash in an unusual manner — inside a sanitary pad wrapper and a body cream container.

The employer, who requested anonymity for safety and privacy reasons, reportedly noticed money missing from her bedroom over a period of weeks. Suspicions grew, leading her to set up a hidden camera in the room.

The footage allegedly captured the house help, a young woman employed for domestic chores, discreetly taking U.S. dollar bills from a drawer and hiding them in places intended to avoid suspicion — including wrapping them in what appeared to be a used sanitary pad and tucking others into the false bottom of a cream jar.

The matter was promptly reported to local authorities, who are now investigating the incident. Initial reports suggest that several hundred dollars may have been taken.

“This is a betrayal of trust,” the employer told reporters. “You welcome someone into your home, treat them like family, and then this happens. It’s devastating.”

The suspect is currently in police custody and is expected to be arraigned later this week. Authorities have urged households to exercise discretion when handling valuables and consider proper vetting and background checks when hiring domestic staff.

This incident has sparked conversation online about employer-employee trust, with some calling for better labor protections and psychological screening in domestic employment.
