Guinness World Records (GWR) has dismissed claims linked to Nigerian socialite Mandy Kiss over an alleged attempt to set a record for marathon sex.
Reacting to reports making the rounds on social media, GWR clarified that it does not monitor or recognize such categories of records. The organization stressed that its mission is to celebrate achievements that are measurable, verifiable, and suitable for global documentation.
A GWR spokesperson stated, “We don’t monitor such records,” adding that several claims trending online are “misleading and unconnected” to the institution.
The clarification comes after Mandy Kiss, popularly known for her controversial lifestyle, allegedly sought to achieve recognition through an unconventional record attempt.
Observers say the development highlights the growing trend of Nigerians seeking to break records following the widespread attention generated by chef Hilda Baci’s cooking marathon in 2023.
