Reality TV star and media personality, Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has revealed why she opted to hold her upcoming Guinness World Record (GWR) attempt in Nigeria instead of London.
Speaking during a live session with fans on Thursday, the former Big Brother Naija housemate explained that while she had the option of hosting the event abroad, she believes Nigeria gives her the “energy and connection” she needs to break records.
“London won’t give me the vibes I need. I love the people there, but Nigeria is where the energy is — the crowd, the excitement, the support. I want to feel that while I’m going for the record,” Tacha said.
The entrepreneur added that her decision was also driven by her desire to project Nigeria in a positive light and inspire young people across the country to chase global recognition from home.
“I’m doing this from Nigeria because I want everyone watching to know that you don’t need to leave your country to make history. Great things can happen right here,” she added.
Tacha, who is known for her bold personality and business acumen, has been teasing her record-breaking project on social media for weeks, though she has yet to disclose the exact category of her GWR attempt.
Her decision has sparked mixed reactions online, with many Nigerians applauding her patriotism and determination to showcase the nation’s potential on the world stage.
