I’m Perfectly Fine”: Ice Prince Addresses Fans’ Concerns Over His Sudden Weight Loss

Nigerian rapper and songwriter Ice Prince Zamani has responded to growing speculation about his health following noticeable changes in his physical appearance. The “Oleku” crooner, who recently appeared slimmer in public photos and videos, reassured fans that he is not ill but simply embracing a healthier lifestyle.

In a recent interview, Ice Prince dismissed rumors suggesting that his drastic weight loss was due to illness, saying, “I’m not sick. I’ve just been taking better care of myself, eating right, and focusing on my mental and physical well-being.”

The rapper explained that his decision to lose weight was intentional, inspired by a desire to live healthier and perform better on stage. “The music life can be tough late nights, constant travel, and stress. I decided to make a change. I wanted to feel lighter, stronger, and more focused,” he said.

Fans had taken to social media in recent weeks to express concern, with many speculating about his health after he appeared visibly leaner at several events. The rapper, however, thanked his supporters for their care, noting that their concern reflects the strong bond between him and his fanbase.

Known for hits like Aboki, Superstar, and JuJu, Ice Prince has been a mainstay in the Nigerian music industry for over a decade. His renewed focus on health and discipline, he says, is part of a larger commitment to longevity both in life and in music.

“I’m in a good place,” he added. “This is the best I’ve felt in years. My energy is back, and I’m working on new music that reflects that.”

With this clarification, the rapper has put the rumors to rest proving that sometimes, transformation isn’t about sickness, but strength and self-awareness.
