Marriage Needs Balance, Not Monogamy Ned Nwoko Speaks Amid Rumored Rift with Regina Daniels

Nigerian senator and businessman, Ned Nwoko, has stirred social media reactions after describing monogamy as “like standing on one leg,” in a recent video interview where he addressed speculations about a marital dispute with his actress wife, Regina Daniels.

In the viral clip, the Delta-born politician defended his belief in polygamy, explaining that having multiple wives provides “balance, stability, and strength” within a home. According to him, marriage should be viewed as a partnership that reflects cultural values and not merely Western ideals.

“Having one wife is like standing on one leg it’s unstable,” Nwoko said. “Our forefathers understood the importance of family expansion and support. That’s why polygamy worked for them, and it still works for me.”

His comments come amid online rumors suggesting tension between him and Regina Daniels, his youngest and most popular wife. However, Nwoko dismissed reports of marital crisis, insisting that his household remains united and “focused on growth and purpose.”

The couple, who got married in 2019, have two children together. Despite facing public scrutiny over their age difference and lifestyle, they have often portrayed a picture of harmony on social media.

Nwoko’s remarks have reignited national conversations about polygamy, gender roles, and cultural identity in modern Nigeria with many weighing in on whether his traditional stance aligns with contemporary realities of marriage.
