Human rights activist and political commentator Deji Adeyanju has advised rising TikTok star, Peller, to prioritize his education despite his growing popularity on social media.
In a post shared on his X (formerly Twitter) page, Adeyanju commended the young entertainer’s creativity and talent but emphasized that formal education remains essential to shaping his long-term success.
“Education will shape his destiny,” Adeyanju wrote. “Fame is good, but knowledge gives you direction. I encourage Peller to go back to school and build a foundation that will sustain him beyond social media.”
Peller, who has gained massive attention on TikTok for his energetic dance videos and comic personality, represents a wave of young Nigerians leveraging digital platforms for fame and income. However, Adeyanju’s statement has sparked conversations online about the balance between early fame and academic pursuit.
While some social media users supported Adeyanju’s advice, others argued that success in today’s digital economy does not always depend on formal education.
Nonetheless, Adeyanju maintained that education offers young people a solid platform for growth, helping them make informed decisions even within the entertainment industry.
