Nigerian music stars Adekunle Kosoko, popularly known as Adekunle Gold, and his wife, singer Simi, have welcomed twins, bringing double joy to their family.
The couple shared the happy news on Wednesday, with Simi posting on her Snapchat story: “Asked God for another child and he blessed me double.” While the genders of the newborns have not been disclosed, fans and fellow celebrities have flooded social media with congratulatory messages.
The announcement follows speculation that began in December when Simi shared an Instagram video captioned, “From my baby, for my babies,” showing her growing baby bump and hinting at another addition to their family.
This latest blessing comes just weeks after Simi highlighted a scene from Adekunle Gold’s new music video, My Love is the Same, adding to the excitement surrounding the couple.
Adekunle Gold and Simi, who married in 2019 after years of friendship and musical collaboration, are already proud parents to their first child, Adejare Kosoko, fondly known as Deja, born in May 2020. The couple remains one of Nigeria’s most admired entertainment power couples.
