Nollywood actress Doris Ogala and comedian Akpororo have ignited fresh drama online after a heated exchange over Ogala’s ongoing dispute with clergyman Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministries.
The latest chapter in the saga began when Akpororo took to his Instagram page to comment on the high-profile feud that has dominated social media for weeks. In his video, the comedian urged Ogala to take her disagreements with Okafor off public platforms and resolve matters privately, arguing that much of the backlash against the pastor stems from his status as a cleric rather than the substance of the claims against him.
“Things worse than this have happened in the country, and if it were an ordinary man, it would have been you who faced the criticism,” Akpororo said, warning that overexposure online could make Ogala appear overly emotional.
But Ogala was having none of it. In a fiery video response, she accused the comedian of misunderstanding the seriousness of her situation, stressing that her public posts are essential for her safety.
“I know you are Chris Okafor’s customer and that you perform at his church. There are boundaries,” Ogala said, accusing Akpororo of hypocrisy and alleging his advice was influenced by financial ties to the pastor.
The actress then escalated the conflict, threatening to expose what she described as Akpororo’s past misconduct if he continued to comment on her issues. She said she has videos showing the comedian in compromising situations with women, and warned of public disclosure unless he backs off.
Responding to her threats, Akpororo doubled down, daring Ogala to post the material she referenced by the end of the day and mocking the seriousness of her claims.
The confrontation comes against the backdrop of Ogala’s long-running feud with Pastor Okafor, which exploded after she accused him of breaching promises of marriage and asked for compensation for emotional and reputational harm.
Ogala previously claimed she had been in a romantic relationship with Okafor since 2017 and said she even ended her previous marriage at his urging. Her initial ultimatum — that Okafor either marry her or pay damages — later escalated into a demand of ₦1 billion for breach of promise.
Despite the turmoil, Okafor went ahead with his engagement and subsequent wedding to Pearl Okafor, holding both traditional and white ceremonies. Ogala’s allegations sparked national discussion, with some questioning the conduct of the cleric and others warning about the risks of airing private disputes online.
In December last year, Okafor publicly apologised for his role in the controversy during a sermon, acknowledging that “mistakes have been made” and expressing a willingness to make restitution to anyone he may have offended. However, he also maintained that not all of Ogala’s allegations were accurate — a point that she has publicly rejected.
Ogala’s conflict with Okafor has also involved wider social media debate. She has previously made controversial calls for authorities to investigate the pastor’s church altar over alleged past incidents and structural concerns — claims that have further intensified the public’s interest in the case.
As the feud continues, both Ogala and Akpororo’s statements have attracted widespread reactions online, with some supporting Ogala’s right to speak out and others urging all parties to seek legal resolution rather than social media confrontation.
Whether Ogala will produce the video she threatened — or whether either side will take the matter to formal legal arbitration — remains to be seen, but the public clash has undeniably added a new dimension to an already headline-grabbing controversy.
